Authenticity guarantee
Counterfeit Pokémon cards have gotten good enough that plenty of sellers pass them along without ever knowing. That's a reason to check every card, not a reason to shrug.
The guarantee
If any card you buy from Grail Coast is ever determined to be counterfeit by a recognised grading or authentication service, we refund it in full — the purchase price and the shipping — with no time limit. Not 30 days. Ever.
What we check, on every card
Print & pattern
Rosette print pattern under magnification, font weight and spacing, colour saturation, and set-specific tells that fakes routinely get wrong.
Light test
Genuine cards have a black internal layer that blocks light. Most counterfeits glow through — a ten-second test that catches a large share of them.
Texture & edges
Holo texture, foil behaviour under angled light, edge layering, and the feel of the card stock — the things a scan can't fake and a photo can't show you.
Slabs & sealed
Every graded card is verified against the grading company's own cert lookup before we list it. Vintage sealed product is checked for resealing tells before we buy it or sell it.
What we won't do
- We don't promise grades. Nobody can tell you what a raw card will grade. We'll show you the flaws and let you decide.
- We don't hide condition. Whitening, dents, print lines and off-centring get photographed and described, not cropped out.
- We don't sell what we can't verify. If a card doesn't pass our checks, it doesn't get listed — it gets destroyed, not passed on to someone else.
